I live with my grandparents and we have a 2 story home. The upstairs is very nice and they practically live up there. I have a bedroom down in the basement and the downstairs has a bathroom, bedroom, living room, storage room, another bedroom (being used as an office right now but they will be taking the computer and office supplies upstairs). I am 15 years old (16 in 2 months). They told me that I could "live" downstairs and purchase my own mini-fridge and microwave. I just cleaned like the whole downstairs and vaccumed//dusted. I have my layout pretty much decided and now I just need a door. Like I said it is downstairs and the stairs lead into a wall so you have to turn but, there is room to put like a room divider or something up in the door way (which I NEED!!). but, they are like 100 dollars. .... UH NO! I need to know a DIY tip on how to make my own door/divider. Nothing can hang off the ceiling cuz we have that cottage cheese stuff....haha!!! And not the walls because my grandpa said no. Something that can stay up while sitting on the floor.. sorry for the long description!! THANK YOU!!!!

Can anyone suggest a curtain track hardware maker or know of a way to hang a room divider curtain from those office acoustical tiles (hung ceiling). Thanks! I don't have access to the ceiling itself - there is a substantial gap between the tiles and the slab above.

I have a big living room and I want to divide it in order to make half of it a bedroom for my daughter. I'm looking for either a removable wall of some sort or a room divider that will stand still. I'm a bit confused as to what I should be searching for (or what to call it). I've seen thin "walls" in places such as airports and doctor's offices that even have their own little door to it. I've been looking-up chinese panel dividers but they don't seem steady enough. I'm attempting to place some sort of wall without the need for major construction. Height should be at least 5-6 feet and the length should cover at least 9 feet. I would prefer something that lays out vertically rather than Zigzag (like the panels). Price is a concern but I'm willing to take a look at many options. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Hello, Could you give me some suggestions on where I can get a room divider or partition? I share a small studio and need some private space for my work and need something low cost, a mini office. I would love to have a cubicle, but haven't found anything affordable. I just need something that can go up and break down when I move, no big construction job. I would say about 7ft high, 4 sides. I am decorating my office. It is a large room. It has bright sunny yellow curtains. I want to have a curtain as a room divider. Other furniture is light wood with a bit of black. Floor is light wood too. Chairs have a light blue color. Walls are made from darkish beige stone. Do you have some good ideas concerning the curtain which would divide the large room into two? hello, my studio is one long room.half is the showroom and my desk area and the back half is the work area. i really want to block my work area from customers seeing back there. i have 2 office dividers that are in use now but theres about 8-9 feet open. so at the end of the day i need like 5-6 ft wide divider of some sort to divide the 2 areas. i also need this option to be moveable so that i can get big pieces out to get thru the front door......whats the best inexpensive way to do this? i cant buy anymore dividers... the ones i got are like 500-1000 dollar dividers. ive considered a room dividing curtain but that might be tacky. keep in mind it needs to have somewhat of a professional flow as customers will see it. any ideas?
