I hung painted PVC pipe from the ceiling with decorative chain and then made curtains to hang in a similar situation. My sister-in-law made screens out of sheer fabric and edging and hung them from the ceiling. You could use a tall book shelf and a curtain. The possibilities are really endless! Good luck!!

I think your best choice is a folding Soji screen. You can get these in tradidional Japanese design or any modern or classical design. You can actually get them on wheels too.

Turn the couch sideways, and use the back of the couch for the headboard.
