Need advice on a two tone painting of living room walls?
I painted my living room in a deep, earthy tan (Behr "cup of cocoa" to be exact). Love the color but it makes room too dark.
I'd like to keep the top 3 feet that color and change the lower 5 feet to something much lighter. (Going for a modern look so wainscotting is out) I'd really appreciate advive on color choices and other tips on how to transition. I'm thinking a simple two tone wall without any particular divider between the colors.
Thanks Very Much!

I popped "cup of cocoa" into Behr's online paint visualizer & it returned the following interesting coordinating colors:
"restful" (# 400F-4)
"valley mist" (# 460E-2) - I think this one would be my fave.
"pueblo sand" (# 260E-3)
"fine white" (# 250A-1)
Check 'em out on bedroom #1; it has the paint layout that you want:
