Ok, you creative cats! How do I make a very cool and modern looking room divider for under $50.?
Even if you have never done this, I am sure some of you could think up some great ideas! I know how many very creative and artistic people are on yahoo answers. No idea is too silly. Thanks so much for your help!! Oh yeah, it will be for a livingroom that I am trying to divide into another room. I need it completely seperated and it would be ideal if it could open and close. The area is about 10 feet wide and 10 feet high. Thanks!

How bout a decorate-able curtain room divider?
put a sort of metal track on the ceiling, then hang from it a beautiful curtain-like thing with a color, pattern or picture fitting to the room; this way you can slide it where its needed and separate the rooms, then tuck it away if you dont want them divided.

Using 2 pieces of pvc cut to length, hang one from wires attached to screws placed along ceiling studs. With a space of 1" or so, the second pipe is attached under the first one with three wires, one in the middle and one on each end (drill holes?). Using two sets of shower curtain hooks, hang two cloth shower curtains (or plastic) on either side of the center wire.
I took the Hultet Room Divider curtain from IKEA, spray painted it white (outside) and hung aurora borealis swarovski crystals and beads on it sparsely. When the sun hits it, it sparkles so nicely.
The only thing that comes to mind is rought iron the kind they use for outside porches and on steps, railings and hand railings, balusters etc they come in beautiful scroll designs and if you don't like black you can paint them to match your decor ..they can easily divide a room and it really makes a room perk up but does not give any privacy For privacy and to partiton off a room it is probably best to use some kind of paneling or dry wall ..they have pretty 8 ft X4 ft wallboard in the paneling department that are finished with wallpapers or prints on them at places like Lowe's and Menard's and building centers. it is very reasonable
