Dont paint the walls beige try a really pale yellow it will look goo with your burgundy rug try to pull your room together with some same colors

Drab. Try to find a medium muted green with some grey or olive thru it.

I love color! Instead of the beige walls, why not paint them just a little bit darker? I know that you are in an apt and I'm not sure of your natural lighting situation but try going just a little bit darker than plain beige and your furniture and accessories will just stand out. I'm thinking a camel color would be nice....go to this website and do a virtual paint job. You can select from a lot of different paint colors and room types. I did this before we remodeled our house and it helped alot to see what a paint color will look like. Best of luck!

Hi, Sounds good to me except for one thing I would change. Paint your trim,a bright ,high gloss white. Don't get a beige that's to yellowy. Navajo White has to much yellow in it, try a bone white(a nice beige colour) And get an assortment of different colour throw pillows for your sofa. The more the merrier. Get different sizes too. If you cant afforded to purchase them, may be Mom or Sister can sew some up for you. Bye

Before you paint the room, find a print or painting that you like that pulls the colors of your furniture and carpeting together. You didn't say what color your upholstered furniture is- make sure you consider this when decorating your apartment. If you want your space to look more masculine/contemporary consider a grey instead of the beige for your walls.
