If it's going into your bath, Pine if in your living room MDF 1", lumber prices vary from store to store and state to state Should think the pine would be $70-$90 maybe $60-$70 for the MDF

BTW I like it very modern
any hard wood, softwood needs a sealant before staining. costs plenty tho'
