Ideas for a wedding room divider please?
I am getting married in a large hall size room. The ceremony will be at the far end and the reception in the rest of the room. For the ceremony the tables will be pushed to the side, however I don't really want people looking at the centre pieces and what ever is on the tables before/during the ceremony! I have thought of getting free standing room dividers however as the room is quite large it would cost alot to buy about 10 (at least about 300) I am thinking about decorating the screens with photos and things but cant think of anything that would be quite cheap?! It has to be free standing as the ceiling has a tent like effect which cant be fixed to. Any ideas are very appreciated!
Thanks

One idea, I don't know cost, but would help if you and fiance' had a "handyman" friend. Get the lattice work panels at Lowe's or Hope Depot. Spray white, use hinges on each panel so that it will fold and thus be free standing, must bend slightly so that it will stand alone one it's own. Make as large as you want that will safely stand up on it's own. Line with inexpensive silk ivy garland (or ribbons)whichever is cheapers-- twined thru holes in lattice. Can also have bows at middle of each so t hat no one will be tempted to look around, have ribbons draped in an effect as to link all of the panels together yet, keep anyone from looking in at reception area. Tall potted plants (can rent from florist) or buy to put between the panels.
Another idea, crazy, but might work saw ti on t.v. in a bakery where they were taking out old ovens but needed a clean place to contiinue their work. The contractors hung white plastic or sheeting to keep the dust out of the kitchen. Check with local contractors,or local building supply vendors they might have. You can always doctor up with silk swag arrangements at tosp or corners where it is attached.
Or, if possible string wire very small across room, will have to have a support (some strong monofilament line ) and go to $ store and buy white or cloudy clear $1.00 shower curtain liners and hang.Cover tops with ivy (can be live, if you have a good source) and keep it very cool, until needed or use a centre bow with ribbons and drape ribbon between shower curtains. Go to $store for any supplies, lke Dollar Tree, if yo have one and buy ribbon and Also find a way white platic tablecloths are inexpensive drape if you can find a way to secure them. Drape in between with huge tulle bows, very inexpensive at places like Hobby Lobby or Michaels Also, check with wedding event planners or wedding supply stoe to find out if they have white draping.
